Ariel’s Tapas Lounge Replacing Pinalito City on East Houston

In April of last year, the Spanish-Mexican restaurant Pinalito City closed for an extended period of renovations. Though, at the time, it seemed like a quick job. Nevertheless, the scope of said remodeling is finally visible – a dark hulking facade and new store signage. Meanwhile, the insecure plywood, which had been painted by Chico in June 2013, remains for the time being.
Only now it’s no longer called Pinalito City. 293 East Houston is under new ownership (again), and has been rechristened Ariel’s Tapas Lounge. The revamped restaurant is seeking help via Craigslist job posting. They need experienced part-time and full-time cooks, servers, and bartenders.
The arrival of Ariel’s Tapas Lounge marks the second change at this address within a four-year time frame. Recall that this was the Clinton Restaurant until 2010.
