The grand stage of the World Cup has international brands frenzied in their quest to capitalize on the huge audience. Naturally. It seems as though there are few barriers to entry in that field, as one popular Lower East Side eatery has plans to open a temporary presence in Rio de Janeiro for the games. Team Silkstone – comprised of chef Ben Towill and artistic designer Phil Winser – will be there.
Casa Fat Radish, an Orchard Street offshoot, is indeed a reality. The pop-up “clubhouse” should be up and running to spread the gospel once the tournament play begins.

These types of pop-ups are familiar territory for the Fat Radish; they’ve also treated crowds in Paris.
