Portia & Manny Departs Ludlow Street After 2 Years

Fashion flight continues to plague Ludlow Street within the confines of Hell Square. Even the relative noobs are now on the outs. Last month, we saw the fall of Blessed Peacemakers; this month it’s address-mate Portia & Manny. The vintage shop had been having a month-long “warehouse sale” on threads, but that all came to an end.
The store at 151 Ludlow was cleared out before the holiday weekend, its windows now draped in plastic sheeting. Meanwhile, management taped up a farewell sign saying “buh-bye” to the Lower East Side. No word just yet on a possible new location for Portia & Manny.

The women’s boutique opened at 151 Ludlow in May 2012, replacing the decade-running footprint of Some Odd Rubies.
