Here is the Completed Shepard Fairey Mural on the Bowery, ‘We Own the Future’

After three days on a crane, Shepard Fairey finally completed his 30 x 40 foot mural on the southern exposure of 161 Bowery. Message of the mural? “We own the future; Transform our world with creative response.” Pretty standard issue for Shepard Fairey. Nothing too groundbreaking here, but clearly visible from all points south.
As previously reported, the massive mural undertaking was coordinated by the Little Italy Street Art Project, which continues to sheathe the downtown streets in art. Their last effort in the neighborhood was commissioning Logan Hicks to paint a piece on Norfolk Street, beside the Burger King.
