EMM Group Likely to Vacate 199 Bowery After the New Year to Make Way for Duane Reade

Chatter is growing louder regarding the alleged local demise of EMM Group and its club complex on the Bowery. Duane Reade/Walgreens is the rumored replacement, as we first reported yesterday, and a deal on the massive space is allegedly “all but done.”
A Boogie birdie also whispers word that the end of days for Finale and The General will likely arrive with the new year. By 2015, the only drugs to be found at 199 Bowery will probably be over the counter.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Expect a blowout New Years Eve party.
