Colombian hot dog joint Los Perros Locos ended its two-year run at back in August. Owner Alex Mitow announced at the time that 201 Allen Street would “undergo a rapid transformation” into a food-based incubator space for pop-ups, chefs, artists, etc. The promise has been fulfilled.
As previously reported, Mitow paired up with miLES to launch LESpace, a so-called pop-up launchpad targeting the food and art industries. Chefs, artists, and innovators are sought to create short-term programming onsite. Their selling point is the fully-funcitonal commercial kitchen and the “licenses you need for a legit and legal restaurant popup.”
Tonight is the kickoff party at 201 Allen Street.
