This Naked Man Had a Bad Drug Trip on Elizabeth Street

An early morning walk this past Friday (8:30am) yielded this strange, yet sad encounter. An African American man was lying bareback on the sidewalk outside Rag & Bone on Elizabeth Street, pants at his ankles. H was buck naked, with schlong in hand, and yelling unpleasantness.
Turns out the guy was tripping balls, his possessions scattered about Elizabeth, including wallet and drug container. An eyewitness explained to the cops that he saw the man crouched beneath a car on the east side of the street. Substance of choice was not confirmed, but is believed to be PCP (aka Angel Dust).

Five police cruisers from the 5th Precinct quickly showed up, and seven officers made the collar. There was some initial opposition, but the man was subdued while crying “put me out.”
