Mulberry House continues to hold out for a money commercial tenant to round out its ranks. The ground level store at 290 Mulberry Street – hailed as a “prime retail opportunity” for years – just sits vacant. In the year since Nirvanna Designs held a pop-up shop, nothing of substance has moved in. Only advertising skins in the windows.

Well, Nirvanna Designs is now poised to return to the fold for another temporary seasonal experience. Employees have been onsite the last few days unloading boxes and shelving equipment. The store will stock its specialty of Asian-inspired garments and accessories.

Brand spokesperson Selena Talijancic confirms opening day as November 15 (Saturday).

Nirvanna Designs was founded in 1996 by Nir Gurel and Anna Fischer after a “long and inspirational” trip to Asia.
