Petee’s Pie Company Begins Service on Delancey Street

For Petee’s Pie Company, it was an eleventh-hour rush to the finish line. The new pastry purveyors opened yesterday afternoon at 61 Delancey after a hasty two-month build-out. Just in time for Thanksgiving, as initially promised.
The Petee’s awning is certainly a nice touch for the neighborhood. When completely unfurled, it’s a throwback to that turn-of-the-century style.
The bakery – conceived by Virginian Petra “Petee” Paredez – “makes damn fine pie for damn fine people.” Flavors include Cherry Crumb, Cranberry Apple, Sweet Potato, and Maple Walnut. Pies measure nine inches across, and are baked from scratch with fresh ingredients from New York State.
Petra tells us that: “We will have some pies available for walk-ins but in limited quantities so it’s better to plan ahead and order online. Also, we will be open on Thanksgiving til 3 if anyone needs last minute pies.”
RIP Rocket Joe’s Pizza…
