‘Forever’ an Invasion on the Lower East Side

It never ends, does it. Filming activities for the ABC show Forever constantly plague the area east of Essex Street, at an average rate of once a week. With good reason. This is where the fictional Abe’s Antiques resides (154 Stanton), eponymous place of employment for a main character in the show (Abe Morgan). The trucks, power-tripping PA’s, and craft services tables will again make an appearance today.
As we’ve previously contended, the show’s premise is suspiciously similar to the book of same name by Pete Hamill. The author had expressed his displeasure to the Daily News back in September, saying “Forever is as much of a knockoff as those fake designer bags they sell on Canal Street.”
