Goa-Taco Opening Pop-Up Food Stand for Its Fusion Tacos at 77 Delancey Street

The revolving door of retail at 77 Delancey Street shows no sign of slowing. This sidecar space – under the thumb of Grey Lady since opening two-and-a-half years ago – has hosted everything from pop-up cafes and bakeries to an Etsy shop. During the warmer months, though, the shoebox store is usually a seafood shack hosted by the corner bar itself.
Next to toss the dice is Goa-Taco, the food stall vendor veteran of Smorgasburg Jr. in Brooklyn. The smallish operation specializes in “fusion” tacos that add elements of Indian cuisine. These bites – dubbed Paratha tacos – use the namesake, croissant-like flat-bread instead of traditional corn or flour-based tortillas.
Goa-Taco is owned and run by Chef Duvaldi Marneweck.
