Macondo Reopens After Tax-Related Closure Last Week

Whatever tax trouble Macondo and its owner Hector Sanz are experiencing, it’s apparently resolved. At least enough so to reopen the establishment.
You’ll recall that the six-year-old Spanish restaurant fell victim to the taxman last Thursday, and was summarily shuttered with token literature pasted to the gate. The closure was more serious than that, though, and extended further. Sister spots Barraca and Macondo West also met the same fate.
It only lasted roughly 24 hours. Macondo and its kin were all back up and running just in time for Friday happy hour.
Meanwhile, Rayuela is still a ghost town. Don’t expect a reopening for quite awhile, if at all.
