Sanitation Snow Plow Rams Hotel Construction Site on Broome Street

Earlier this morning, a Department of Sanitation snow plow rammed into the hotel construction site at the southeast corner of Broome and Allen Streets. It appears the vehicle – cleaning the area – cut the turn too sharply and bowled into the sidewalk bridge, which is now unstable.
First responders are on the scene to ascertain the damage. The driver is being questioned. No word just yet on the extent of damage here.
The new structure is that boutique hotel funded by Sun Sun Property Investement and designed by SM Tan Architect. It’s been under construction for over a year and will soon hit its seven-story peak.
