The Return of Ratner’s on Delancey Street

Well, sort of.
Construction at the former Sleepy’s mattress center on Delancey Street uncovered some classic ghost signage. Of course, this location was previously the home of Ratner’s, the long-running kosher dairy restaurant that folded over a decade ago. Shadows of the once-illustrious red neon are now clearly visible, thanks to the removal of the marquee. Nab some photos while you still can.
As we reported yesterday, 138 Delancey is currently being converted to an urgent care center.
Ratner’s ceased operations in 2002 after years more than eighty years in business.
