Chinese Eldridge Street will soon welcome some Japanese cuisine. Signage went up last week announcing the forthcoming arrival of Gen Ramen at 112 Eldridge.
The newcomer describes itself as an Asian fusion outpost and will boast slender eat-in options. There will only be eight tables onsite, according to application materials submitted to Community Board 3.
The forthcoming Japanese ramen house seeks wine and beer privileges, and has already agreed to the CB3 standard stipulations for fast-tracking. Meaning, they’re pretty much approved, pending the requisite rubber stamp from the State Liquor Authority.
112 Eldridge was previously home to Hou Yi Hot Pot.
