‘Delicious Deli’ Announces Itself as Newest Bodega on Eldridge Street

Here’s another case of loose infringement on the Lower East Side.
While not quite the level of filching Mario for a pizza joint, the forthcoming Delicious Deli on Eldridge Street seems to lean a bit on the corporate competition for name recognition. That would be Dunkin Donuts.
Nevertheless, the Delicious Deli is coming down the stretch toward opening. (They had been tripped up by a stop-work order in June.) The plywood was removed from the corner of Eldridge and Stanton Streets a few days ago. Its image is way more souped up than the preceding bodega businesses.
As the awning promises, there will be “organic and natural products,” sandwiches, Spanish food, and healthy juice bar.
