Early Morning Fire Breaks Out in Laundromat on Rutgers Street

Firefighters are currently battling a blaze at 32 Rutgers Street, a one-story commercial building just north of Madison. Emily’s Laundromat is in the ground level of the building. The corner is crowded as all hell while dozens are headed to work.
Ladders are out, saws in action, and water flowing.
The fire has been smoldering for the past hour, eyewitnesses say. No word yet on the cause, or if there are any injuries. Stay tuned for updates.
