In which CBGB meets EWR…
The life-supported CBGB has been relegated to the tourist-trap dust-bins of a shitty area airport. Apparently the current trademark holder (a holding company) sees it fit to install a branded restaurant at Newark Liberty Airport (EWR). It’s located in Terminal C, base of operations for United Airlines.
CBGB apparently teamed up with OTG Management to create the restaurant-bar, with chef Harold Moore at the helm. Expect a menu of “American fare in a fun environment recalling the legendary music venue.” Pricing is as you might expect – $11 chicken wings, $11.50 wedge salad, and a $14 cheeseburger, among other items.
The Twitter handle of WFMU posted a pair of images showing the build-out and menu of the forthcoming CBGB restaurant.
It opens in the next couple weeks.
