Menorah Returns to the Center of Delancey Street for Chanukah

Today is the first day of Chanukah, the Jewish “festival of lights.” As in years past, Chabad Lower East Side erected two life-size menorahs in the neighborhood to mark the holiday.
Both ornaments are placed in highly-visible locations – right off the Williamsburg Bridge on Delancey Street, and just off the FDR at Grand Street. And the first bulbs are lit.
Chanukah began last night and runs through sundown next Monday.
