It’s Brunswick to Boba over on Clinton Street.
Brooklyn’s Brunswick coffee house cashed out last week, paving the way for new tenant at 23 Clinton Street. And so soon, too. A record, you might say.
As reported last week, Brunswick proprietor Alex Bird decided to sell the cafe assets after receiving an offer he couldn’t refuse – “I had an offer from a great company to buy my lease, fixtures, and fittings.” Well, now we know from whom…
Boba Guys announced itself over the weekend, a San Francisco mini-chain that’s moving into the New York marketplace. Founded in 2011, the shop specializes in “Next level quality milk tea, boba, and snacks with Asian-inspired flavors.” For you, that means a hole in the wallet.
This is the first city location for Boba Guys, which maintains two in San Francisco. Opening for the Lower East Side satellite is shortly after the new year.
