Residents of Clinton Street are probably wondering what’s up with Paloma Rocket. That’s the new beer shop slated to open in the space Little Laptop Shop previously called home.

Time for an update.

Paloma Rocket has been under construction at 7 Clinton Street since at least December 2014, yet it wasn’t until last July that the canopy of Clinton was officially branded. Little in the way of progress since. Six months later, however, there is some movement behind those gates. The teaser signage is now in the windows (i.e. “beer your way”), advertising the forthcoming arrival of the self-serve tap-house and beer shop.

As previously disclosed, Paloma Rocket is led by Graham Winton and Jacqueline Munson, and will probably be reminiscent of what Top Hops is doing down on Orchard Street. A U-shaped “food counter” is planned for the center of the room, where patrons can pick up artisanal flatbreads, grilled cheese sandwiches, tartines, and pizzas.

We’ll keep you posted.
