First Peek Inside the LES Outpost of ‘El Luchador’ on Ludlow Street

We first broke word back in October that El Luchador was planning an expansion snack bar in Hell Square. Finally, some activity to report.
El Luchador (translated, “the fighter”) is but a few weeks from launch at 132 Ludlow Street. As previously reported, the wrestling-themed taqueria took the torch from the failed Pomme Creperie, which went bust last September after two years in business. Paper has obstructed any progress for months, but build-out quietly transpired nonetheless. Kitchen is nearly operational, it seems and the walls are already branded in Luchador imagery.
Word on the street is that El Luchador bows in April.

Don’t worry, though; El Luchador isn’t giving up its beloved taco trailer on South Street. The 1960s-era Airstream has been parked there – a onetime horse stable – since November 2014.
