Have You Seen Hektad’s Dice and Rubik’s Cubes Dotting Allen Street Mall?

Every once in a while a public art piece just completely nails it. Like this latest effort by street artist Hektad.
Dubbed “Project Play Me,” Hektad last week added some color to one of the many staging areas for the East Houston Reconstruction project. With a little bit of paint, the street artist transformed several cement containers awaiting deployment into familiar cube-shaped game pieces. Namely, dice and Rubik’s Cubes.
Even though the Centre-fuge Public Art project is behind most of these executions, Hektad tells us they weren’t involved in this one.
Time to roll the dice on when the roadwork will end…
