Behind an Eldridge Street Gate is this “Peek Hole” Gallery

Chinatown has a unique gallery on its hands. Rather than some glass-faced store with white walls and little art, this two-month-old showroom resides behind shuttered security gates at 113b Eldridge Street.
Take a peek through the holes in the grate to view the exhibit, which is an elaborate display of candles. A shrine of sorts, this is the work of local artist D. Capobianco.
It’s been on display since early April.
