‘Great Wall’ Chinese Restaurant on Grand Street Remains Closed for ‘Repairs’

The long-running Great Wall Chinese takeout joint at 384 Grand Street has been closed since Labor Day. Ownership is working on some nebulous “repairs” to the space. Initial timetable to reopening was about a week. It’s already been three times that.
This doesn’t appear to be a “get outta Dodge” type renovations trickery, though, as there’s plenty of visible work happening. We’ll keep you posted…
Great Wall is consistently rated higher on the scale in relation to nearby Chinese spots. What do you think, Great Wall or Golden Forest across the way?
