Barely a month after the Sasha Wolf gallery faded from the Orchard Street gallery scene, another has taken up residence. The replacement opened its doors at the end of August, and is called simply, The Storefront Project.
The second installation here at 70 Orchard Street is by Lady Millard, whose cursive red tag, an homage to Princess Diana, is fairly ubiquitous in the area.
It certainly entered a crowded sphere within the whole street-art-inside movement. The Storefront Project sits beside Shin Gallery’s “project space” (66 Orchard Project) and catty-corner to the Avant Garde gallery, both of which exhibit much the same work.

Chelsea Sasha Wolf lasted four years at 70 Orchard, having replaced the short-lived James Coviello boutique in December 2012.
