Reviled social media personality, the Fat Jew (aka Josh Ostrovsky), paired up with Bowery & Vine Wines and Spirits for a wine tasting event later today.

Start time is 6pm at the 269 Bowery HQ. Wine of choice is the Fat Jew’s own “White Girl Rosé.”

You may recall that the pop-culture guru found himself in a pile of shit last year after accusations of joke plagiarism surfaced. For years, Ostrovsky gained a loyal social media following by dishing comedy filched from sources uncredited. It led to “racking up 5.7 million Instagram followers in the process and parlaying his fame into a book deal, modeling contract, Beats 1 hosting gig and numerous brand sponsorships reportedly valued at up to $6,000 a post,” according to Rolling Stone. Accusers were of the A-list variety, including Patton Oswalt, Norm MacDonald, and Michael Ian Black.

Once the controversy boiled over, his Seamless sponsorship and Comedy Central program both fizzled, among other projects.
