SantaCon 2015

SantaCon is coming to town on December 10. Brace yourselves, Williamsburg, they’re after you. Again. Yet that doesn’t mean the Lower East Side will be spared the drunken misery. So, be sure to avoid spillover at the usual hotspots.

Since the annual shitshow is basically a one-costume version of Halloween, it’s fitting that the announcement arrives a few days shy of the holiday. “Parade” location and route will remain under lock and key, per usual, until shortly before the event on December 10.

SantaCon is a hot potato that most neighborhoods want to get rid of. It took several years for the route to eliminate the Lower East Side altogether. Some bars, like The DL, opted to participate last year, but then withdrew under hail of opposition.
