Two Months After Closure, Boss Tweed’s Saloon Revived on Essex Street

Meet the new boss. Tweed’s, that is.
Boss Tweed’s Saloon reopened on Essex Street last weekend, nearly two months after an abrupt shutter. Yet, with a reimagined motif and different pedigree. It’s gone from happy hour dive to swanky lounge.
Shortly after our closure report, we heard whispers that frat-pub Bar None took the reins here. However, we’ve yet to confirm that is the case. Bar None was not immediately available for comment on the matter. In the meantime, we do know that fashion industry player Aramis Zitu Alexander is involved in the reincarnated venue.

Meanwhile, a is now the new norm.
It’s also worth noting the fresh black canopy with cartoon branding, and that Boss Tweed’s did not appear before Community Board 3 for any alteration or corporate change.
