The Metrograph Exhumes Stephen King Films for New October Scarefest
Stephen King fans are in for a real treat this month. If floating through the recent rendition of It: Chapter One wasn’t enough to satiate the fear palate, well, fear not.
The bard of horror who has kept us up walking the floors at night is returning to the silver screen once again. Locally. The Metrograph is running a special series dedicated to the film adaptations of some of King’s finest written works. The film selections include Misery, Pet Semetary, Carrie, Christine, The Dead Zone, Firestarter, Stand By Me, Maximum Overdrive, Creepshow, and, of course, The Shining.
The series started yesterday, but runs through November 1. More info and tickets can be found here.
