As Tokyobike Bids Farewell to the Bowery, ‘The 5TH’ Plans Pop-Up
Tokyobike’sbrief flirtation with the Bowery came to an end late last month. Seemingly without warning, the store closed down, with brown window shades taking up residence.
We are told that Tokyobike closed the Bowery outpost for the season, and will reopen “elsewhere” come springtime. Location is TBD. In the meantime, though, Australian-based fashion brand, The 5TH, is preparing a holiday pop-up shop here at the northwest corner of Prince Street.
Tokyobike is, however, hosting this holiday outing, and will have one bike on display as opposed to their full range.
The retail endeavor should open in the coming days.
