Sprint is Opening a Mobile Store in the Base of Blue Condos on Delancey
Sprint is making a comeback on Delancey Street.
The mobile carrier is opening a new retail store in the nine-months-dormant cornershop at the base of the Blue condo building. It’s a homecoming of sorts for Sprint, which has been on and off the thoroughfare several times over the years. Most recently, a half-assed counter inside the old Popeyes around the corner at 108 Delancey.
The difference now, however, is that this appears to be a corporate store, not an authorized retailer.
Chosen location is the commercial unit previously occupied by Payless ShoeSource. That budget national chain spent six years at the address before filing for bankruptcy and folding in April 2017.
