Whiskey Thief Attacks Owner of Delancey Wine in Botched Heist
A failed attempt to stew whiskey from a local liquor store ended with a punch to the face of the owner.
Police say that an unidentified man entered Delancey Wine (35 Essex Street) on Friday afternoon, and tried the old five-finger discount on a handle of whiskey. The owner chased the thief outside but sustained a punch right in the kisser.
The perp then fled the scene.
