An altercation at a Chinatown methadone clinic yesterday morning led one patient to slash a security guard, police said.
A patient of the Lower Eastside Service Center clinic at 62 East Broadway (west of Market) got into a tussle with the security guard onsite shortly before 10am yesterday morning. In response, the suspect reportedly slashed the victim across the face with an object referred to as a “screw.”
The suspect, described as an Hispanic male standing 5-foot-8 and in his fifties, is still at large. Police identified him but are not releasing his name as yet.
The guard was in stable condition with the facial laceration.
