Four Arrested After Knifing Attack in East Broadway Station
Four men were arrested Wednesday in connection with a stabbing inside the East Broadway F subway station, police said.
The alleged attack transpired shortly before 8:30am when the suspects approached the 20-year-old victim and demanded money. When he refused, the perps stabbed him in the forearm.
The foursome scattered, but police caught and arrested them a short time later.
Medics responded to the scene – near the Madison and Rutgers entrance – to treat the victim. He was reportedly taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
It’s no surprise that one of the more dangerous intersections on the Lower East Side would boast the same for its subway station. Such is the case for the East Broadway stop, which was ranked twelfth most dangerous in the system earlier this year.
