Square Pizza Shuts Down After 6 Years on Clinton Street
For nearly two decades, a pizza parlor of some kind has operated at 201 Clinton Street. But now the ovens are cold and silent.
Square Pizza recently ended its run, capping a nearly six-year tenure for the business. The gates are drawn, albeit without any announcement to customers. Phone calls are also greeted with a strange auto message that then hangs up. There are also comments on social media about online orders placed but not fulfilled.
Square Pizza opened on Clinton Street, just below East Broadway, in 2014 as an extension of Stanton Pizza. The parlor was preceded by both Cowboy Pizza (from the team behind Pushcart Coffee) and Va Bene.
