Watch the First Teaser for Upcoming Beastie Boys Doc on Apple+
Yesterday, Apple unveiled the first trailer for its highly anticipated Beastie Boys documentary. It’s a teaser in the truest sense, squeaking by at about thirty seconds.
Beastie Boys Story is billed as a “live documentary experience” as told by surviving members Mike D. and Adam “Ad Rock” Horovitz. It’s based on the bestselling Beastie Boys Book that came out a couple years ago, and features footage from the limited stage show promoting said book.
Longtime collaborator Spike Jonze – who directed the “Sabotage” video and owns a condo in the Jewish Daily Forward Building on East Broadway – is the director of the project.
Beastie Boys Story gets a limited theatrical run starting April 3, and follows on Apple+ April 24.
