The victim had been corresponding with another man on the Grindr dating app, and arranged an early-morning meetup at the Baruch Houses on March 23. (Nevermind, COVID-19.) At 7:30am, the victim arrived at 296 Delancey Street, then sent a text his date asking for his whereabouts. He was told apartment 11C. Just before knocking, the door to 11D opened, according to police, and the attacker displayed a pink taser. Upon activation, he demanded anything of value from his prey.

Cops later returned to the scene and arrested the attacker, who was charged with robbery and menacing.
