Father Allegedly Stabbed 6-Year-Old Daughter on Pike Street, then Fabricated Story to Cover it Up
And the plot thickens…
That whole story about a six-year-old girl stepping between a mugger’s knife and her father was apparently a total farce. And now the dad is under arrest, according to police.
The original report came through yesterday morning that a mugger approached the father and daughter at midnight, near the corner of Pike and Monroe Streets. The tall tale painted the youngster as a hero helping her dad.
By last night, though, cops discovered that the 55-year-old man fabricated the entire story to deflect the truth – that he allegedly stabbed his own daughter.
The father was arrested, and charges are pending.
