Catholic Charities Hosting Food Distribution Pop-up on the Lower East Side Today
The city is gradually reopening, yet plenty of folks remain in dire need of assistance. Especially relating to groceries
Coming to the rescue is Catholic Charities of New York, which is hosting a pop-up food distribution table on the Lower East Side today. The nonprofit organization plans to hand out 500 boxes of food to locals struggling with food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis. It’ll be stationed outside the a Grand Street Guild at 131 Broome Street today, between 10:00am and noon.
Catholic Charities of New York has already given away more than 275,000 meals across the archdiocese since the coronavirus crisis began in March.
