Bowery Mural Wall Gets ‘Woke’

With turnover imminent at the Bowery Mural Wall, a familiar street artist tagged the space into submission.
It happened in broad daylight yesterday. Dude going by Pork New York once again brought out the fire extinguisher. This time spraying the word “Woke” in script lettering atop the remains of Tomokazu Matsuyama’s piece. (Woke meaning alert to injustice.)
The tagging occurred just a couple days after we first reported that Miami-based Mojo will paint the next mural here.
