No More Sizzle, as ‘Burger People’ Fizzles on Ludlow Street
The Burger People are no longer slinging on Ludlow Street.
The hole-in-the-wall grease pit – which replaced Mikey’s Burger earlier this year – shuttered without notice this week. It lasted a mere nine months at 134 Ludlow Street, no doubt a victim of these pandemic times.
Burger People debuted in January of this year, picking up where Mikey’s left off. And with the same pedigree. Owner Simon Ribok took over after the predecessor closed down more than a year ago. (He had co-founded Mikey’s Burger at 143 Ludlow back in December 2009 with Michael “Bao” Huynh.)
