The Designer Boutique that Took Over an Orchard Street Laundromat
A former laundromat on Orchard Street is now an upscale designer boutique.
Chinatown native Sandy Liang transformed the old Orchard Cleaner and Laundromat at 28 Orchard, which shuttered one year ago, into a flagship store for her eponymous brand. It opened a couple months ago.
The brick-and-mortar space measures 1,500 square-feet, and was a labor of family love.
Liang’s life partner Dorian Booth was apparently responsible for the interior design (via Almost Studio), while her father’s company, Sun Sun Contracting Inc., served as the builder.
