Man Shot Outside Sweet Chick on Ludlow Street Yesterday in Broad Daylight

A man was shot yesterday afternoon in broad daylight outside Sweet Chick on Ludlow Street, cops said.

The shooting transpired shortly after 1:30pm when an unknown gunman pulled up alongside a 23-year-old man sitting in his car, then shot him through the right thigh. The victim was taken to Bellevue in stable condition.

An eyewitness outside 178 Ludlow Street claimed that the victim apparently did not recognize the shooter.

Police yesterday evening arrested the driver of the getaway vehicle – a black Lincoln Navigator with New Jersey plates – crosstown in the Meatpacking District. The shooter is still at large, as sources tell us he likely jumped from the car at some point after the shooting.
