Regal Movie Theater at Essex Crossing Reopens in May
Movie theaters returned from a year-long coronavirus hiatus earlier this month, stoking potential recovery. The only multiplex on the Lower East Side – Regal Essex Crossing – will reopen at reduced capacity later this spring.
The cinema behemoth posted the list of reopening dates to its website, slotting Essex Crossing for a May 7 return.
The movie theater will adhere to the reduced indoor seating guidelines of the lesser of 50 persons or 25-percent of maximum capacity. Masks and assigned seating for social distancing are required. (Regal will provide if customers need.)
