Egg Rolls, Egg Creams, and Empanadas Festival Goes Virtual for 20th Year
Though pandemic restrictions are lifting, it’s a bit too early for the annual Egg Rolls, Egg Creams and Empanadas Festival to return to the streets. The popular Lower East Side block party, hosted by the Museum at Eldridge Street for the last twenty years, is going virtual for the month of June. They didn’t want to miss out on another year of celebrating the communities and cultures that the festival represents.
The virtual events begin this Sunday, and will focus on food, music and performance, games and cultural exchange, and folk arts. Special guests for the kick off event include Russ & Daughters, Casa Adela, Nom Wah Tea Parlor and Dominican Cravings.
