A woman was mugged in a violent early-morning ambush on Chrystie Street last Friday, police said.
The 29-year-old victim was reportedly walking near the corner of Stanton and Chrystie Streets at around 5:10am when the male thief approached her from behind, socked her in the face and threw her to the ground. Once down, the attacker snatched her wallet, which purportedly contained credit cards and $130 in cash, cops said.
The perp fled westbound on Stanton Street toward the Bowery, the NYPD said. Meanwhile, cops said that the woman didn’t report any physical injuries after the incident.
