‘Henri’ Rains on the East River Promenade

Photo: Roger Bultot
Hurricane Henri ultimately dumped some half-dozen inches of rain in downtown Manhattan. In the run-up to the storm, flashbacks of Sandy back in 2012 were everywhere. Water, water, and more water.
One local walking the beat in and around Pier 35 sent us several images of the 24-hour soaking.
The Manhattan Bridge became a waterfall for those below on Pike Slip, with buckets of water cascading down.
