Lower East Side Book Crawl Turns a Page Halloween Weekend

This is not a trick, but certainly a treat for book lovers in the neighborhood.
Bluestockings recently announced the first ever Lower East Side Book Crawl, set to debut this weekend. Participating indie shops include Book Club Bar, Sweet Pickle Books, McNally Jackson, Housing Works, and of course, Bluestockings. There will be free treats, exclusive discounts, a raffle, and lots of other goodies during the event.
That there are enough book shops in the neighborhood to necessitate a crawl is certainly a significant milestone in itself. And with P&T Knitwear waiting in the wings, there’s only increased potential to expand the book crawl in the future.
The holidays are nigh; nothing shows love quite like the gift of a good book. Hit the pavement and the pages this Saturday, October 30, from 12 to 7pm.
