Police announced Friday night the arrest of the suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a Grubhub deliveryman last week.
Joseph Sandoval, 23, from Jamaica, Queens, was collared Thursday and charged with one count of murder in the stabbing death of Sala Miah.
As reported, Miah had taken a post-shift break in Sara D. Roosevelt Park after midnight on October 16. Surveillance video subsequently released shows Sandoval squat beside his 51-year-old victim on a park bench near the Hester Playground. Moments later, he allegedly stabbed Miah to death and rode away on his e-bike.
Loved ones continue to raise money for the victim’s family via GoFundMe (nearly $30,000 so far).
